WHAT CURRENCY SHOULD I BRING TO CUBA?
For tourist resorts, use foreign currency (USD/EUR/CAD) and tip in small USD bills. For travel in Cuban towns, exchange all foreign currency for Cuban pesos (CUP) on the informal market and spend/tip only in CUP to avoid a 30-50% loss. Always ask for CUP prices.

Cuba Travel Tips

Visited Havana, Viñales, Cienfuegos & Trinidad. Mosquitoes are small but present. Repellent helped, but I still got a few bites.

Welcome to Cuba

I promised to send photos of my favorite ice cream shop in Havana. It’s called 17 y L, which is also its address in Vedado. A waffle cone with one big scoop is 450 pesos (about one US dollar). The facility has a light meal restaurant and a grocery store. The best thing is a play space for kids and lots of relaxing seating for adults.
